The Big Storm approached and we watched all the updates and it passed below us up here with nary a flake fallen. Everyone here drives sturdy machines capable of all-terrain conditions so weather is little challenge. The house was quiet, the light slow to take form and the atmosphere thick with anticipation of the unmaterialized monster.
